One of the Flickr engineers, cal Henderson, wrote a book with a title something like "building scalable websites" that was published by O'reilly. Like many old sk00l developers, I like the security blanket a bookshelf full of technical books gives me. I bought Building Scalable Websites (AKA everything you ever wanted to know about managing a large-scale website) a few months ago and read it twice in succession.
